Here at Ezone Interactive one of the reasons that we use the WordPress platform is because it is open source, meaning that there are millions of people working and contributing to improving it all the time. This means that any security problems, or compatibility issues are usually fixed extremely quickly after being identified and, just as importantly, keeps WordPress on the leading edge of content management systems.
One of the great advantages of being a part of the WordPress community are the conferences, or WordCamps, that are held regularly both here in the UK and across the world.
One of the biggest of these is WordCamp Europe which is in Vienna this year and we are excited to be attending. These events are a great opportunity to share knowledge and meet like-minded people working with WordPress. The conference consists of two days of talks covering an array of different topics followed by ‘Contributor’s Day’ where we get the chance to work with others to help improve and develop WordPress.
These events are invaluable to us as they keep us up to date with the latest developments around WordPress. We often go to these events and come back with a load of ideas of ways that we can improve our build process and our ongoing support packages so that we are giving delivering the best service we can to our clients.
Are you going to be at WordCamp Europe from the 24th-26th of June? If so we look forward to seeing you there!
